The Canyon des Gorges de Galamus is located at the source of the Agly river, at the confluence of the departments of Aude and Pyrénées Orientales.
It is the first level of canyoning practice ideal for the family with children (from 8 years), or for a progressive discovery. No abseiling but several possibilities of jumps (up to 7 meters) are not compulsory. A little taste of the Verdon gorges with its gorges over 200 meters high!
For those accompanying or if you wish to extend your discovery, do not hesitate to visit the Hermitage of Galamus or more simply have a picnic at the foot of large basins suitable for swimming.

The canyoning circuit :
Outfitted in a neoprene wetsuit and a helmet, you will progressively discover the main techniques to progress in the Canyons. It will be about going down the river by swimming, jumping, diving and walking. Jumping is never compulsory (maximum 7 meters) and it is not necessary to abseil. This classified site is the undamaged limestone Verdon of the Pays Cathare.

You have to be able to swim 25 meters and be able to immerse yourself. No contraindication to the practice of sports.
