Canoeing and kayaking in the Aude Department… With the renting option : “INDEPENDENCE” ! For one hour, half a day, or even a bivouac, you will have the choice among a canoe with two places (or 3 for children under the age of 9) and a kayak for one person to dawdle in the course of the River Aude. In order for you to fully appreciate your ‘autonomy”, we will provide you a technical introduction to navigation at your start.
Our main circuits are located around our center in Puichéric with different lengths and durations available as 6, 9, 12, 20 kilometers. On our technical specifications sheets we classified our circuits regarding their difficulty with colours, as for skiing, for a better understanding. This classification concerns the classic flow during Summer. During Spring, the difficulty of our circuits can increase, depending on the rainfalls. We keep a close eye on these changes on the internet and guide you on the more appropriate trips. For the circuits around Puichéric, it is essentially about green to blue, depending on the level of water.
You are welcome from March until the end of October.
Rent a Canoe Kayak on flat water
For one hour or two you can rent a canoe or a kayak on flat water in front of our nautical centre. This option is ideal if you only have a few hours available or if you want to safely initiate a young child into canoeing . This also works for anyone who would be a bit scared of water and who would like to try the activity without any stress !

Downriver trip Canoe Kayak Discovery (6 km – 1’30 – green)
Puichéric – Pont de Castelnau
After a brief introduction on flat water, you will leave for 1’30 hour down the river, canoeing and discovering a circuit in a wild environment where little rapids alternate with bigger ones and with flat water. Passing by the village of Roquecourbe you will admire its beautiful tiny Castle situated on the banks of the River Aude.

Downriver trip Canoe Kayak immersion ( 9km, green-blue, 2’30 to 3 hours)
During this half-day trip, you will be allowed, regarding the schedule, picnic and take the time to appreciate the natural environment.
Schedule (from June to September) : 10’00 AM, 11’00 AM, 13’15 PM, 2’00 PM, if you take the departure at 11 AM, you have 3 hours, in order to have the time to picnic.
Schedule during Summer : Meeting at 9’30 AM.
Parcours des Moulins : Puichéric- Tourouzelle (vert) 9 kms 2’30 to 3 hours
Frequently punctuated with rapids without great difficulty. This area will allow you to discover our cultural environment, with ancient mills and the Castle of Roquecourbe !
Circuit “ des dalles” : Capendu- Puichéric (blue) 3 hours – 10,5 km.
Circuit punctuated with fun rapids with rocky slab to cross and a wild environment. During Spring or at the beginning of Summer do not hesitate to discover this trip for more sensations.

Downriver trip Canoe Kayak « au fil de l’Aude » (12 km, green, 3’30 hours)
Saint Couat – Tourouzelle
Here is our youngest circuit created in 2012 at our regular customers request !! It is the ideal trip to go on with friends or family and disconnect from reality during a picnic. The start is very progressive with its first 3 kilometers on flat water that will allow you to control your boat.
Schedule : 9’30 every morning. Do not forget to make a reservation to make sure to have the opportunity to go on this trip.

Downriver trip “Rando Canoe Kayak’ (20 km, dark blue, 5’30 hours- 6 hours)
Capendu – Tourouzelle :
You want to disconnect from reality, it is the ideal option to appreciate a peaceful moment. However, be careful, it is a long circuit, and it is better to already know how to handle a canoe and if you are with family, don’t go on this trip with young children !
Schedule during Summer : Every morning at 9’30 AM. Do non forget to make a reservation, to make sure there are some places left.

Downriver trip Canoe Kayak Bivouac ( 20 km, blue, 6 hours)
Capendu- Tourouzelle
One night outside without the big constrainsts of a huge organization or a complex expedition ! You will. You will navigate about kilometers before arriving in our center in Puichéric where you will be able to bivouac safely by the river. Then you will start the next morning at your convenience to navigate on the last 9 kilometers and be back around 12’30 – 1 PM at our centre.
The meeting is at 1 PM at our centre. Do not forget to make a reservation for the best organization of your trip.

CANOE-KAYAK CIRCUITS
After a briefing at the start, a quick introduction on the paddling and the security on the canoes, you will discover the River Aude and its wild and varied environment where rapids alternate with flat water.
At the end of your trip, we come to pick you up and the canoes at the arrival and drive you back to our centre in Puichéric.
Duration of the downriver trips :
Berween 1 hour and 6 hours depending on the circuit you choose.

PRACTICE CONDITIONS
You have to be able to swim 25 meters and be able to immerse yourself. No contraindication to the practice of sports.

The Canoe-Kayak centre is in the village of Puichéric on the D610 linking Carcassonne and Béziers. Puichéric is 20 minutes away from Carcassonne, 30 minutes away from Narbonne, 40 minutes away from Béziers, 1hour 30 away from Perpignan, Toulouse, Montpellier.
